Importance of Pedagogy!

We all have our own individual style of learning. Some learn by observing, some by doing, and some by reading. Plezmo’s teaching pedagogy exposes the learner to all these methods and boosts learning outcomes.

Develop Career Centric Skills

Globally there’s a disconnect between technology taught in traditional education and technology skills necessary in careers. The end result is that the majority of students are not ‘job ready’ even after graduating with necessary qualifications. At Plezmo, we have developed an industry centric collaboration with education that ensures students are building relevant skills for successful future careers. To keep pace with new programming languages and technologies, we focus on nurturing fundamental thinking skills like computational thinking, design thinking, problem solving and constructs of computer science. This equips learners with versatility to use any programming language or technology to solve problems relevant to them.

In the vast and ever changing field of technology there is no place for the traditional notion that the teacher should know everything. Instead, we follow the method of coaching like in the field of sports, arts and music. A sports coach is not necessarily a better athlete than the disciples but he can identify and build on the strength of each player. Our educators follow a similar philosophy where they identify and develop individual strengths of learners. They also bring together teams of complementary strengths and guide students to find answers for problems that they cannot solve individually. This spirit of teamwork is an essential skill for any profession.

Drawing inspiration from the foundational work by Seymour Papert and proven research around Application based learning, every activity in Plezmo moves beyond theory. Each concept is presented as a real world problem where the solution requires use of that concept. This ensures that learners have continued interest and engagement during the sessions as they are always applying their existing skills while developing new ones. Problem statements are drawn from the learner’s environment with age-appropriate interests and complexities. This ensures that learners can relate to the problems and are interested in solving them rather than deal with a theoretical problem that is difficult to grasp. The curriculums are aligned with the best in class international standards to ensure global compatibility of desirable learning outcomes.
